Game Versions
SOTN has had many releases over the years. This page attempts to list all of them.
There are 15 known, distinct "builds" of SOTN. There were 4 native architectures: PS1, Saturn, Xbox 360, and PSP. Saturn and Xbox 360 versions were based on the PS1 version and PSP appears to be based on the Xbox 360 version. The PSP is not a distinct release, but included on the Dracula X Chronicles as an unlock able game.
Later releases on PSN use the latest available PS1 native build. Playstation 4 and Mobile releases include the EU and JP builds from the PSP Castlevania X Chronicles.

Development
Based on file data, we can trace the version lineage from the original JP 1.0 release. Through the final PSP EU build. Surprisingly, a development copy (referred to as "hd") on the PSP disc is derived from the JP 1.0 build of the game, not later bug fix releases.
Additional information about the Xbox and Saturn versions will be added as more is learned.
